Why I do what I do

At every step of our lives, we as individuals, organisations and collectively as a society, attempt to strike an optimal balance in our endeavours. Uncertainty in the real world is however as much a certainty as the need for optimal solutions. Optimization as a way of life and uncertainty as an inevitable fact of life are naturally intertwined and demystifying their interplay, I believe, is vital in enhancing our understanding of how the world around us functions. Theory and experiment are like two parallel tracks that beautifully compliment each other and aid in the process of this discovery. I am excited to work on driving novel theoretical advances for meaningful problems while simultaneously exploring newer applications to existing results.
